Tips for writing in Obsidian

A one-sentence description #

The description property shows up in lists, on Google and when someone shares the page. One clear sentence beats a cut-off first paragraph.

Headings with #

Use ## and ### to split the text. They become the On this page table of contents and get their own link, handy for sending someone the exact part.

Preview open on the side #

Comments for yourself #

Reminders between %% and %% stay in the note and don’t go to the site.

Publish often #
